If you have requested photoduplication (scanning) and been in touch with Special Collections about your order, you will find the digital files under the Orders  section and Delivered Items link in your account's menu directory. The red text at the top of that page will instruct you on how to download the file to your computer. Please make sure to download the file within 14 days, as the Aeon server clears all uploaded files in your account after that time to make room for more files.

If you requested materials from a finding aid without going through the photoduplication order process, you will not be able to "see"  digital copies of the physical items you requested. This is because not all Special Collections materials have been digitized and made available for instant digital access. You can find collections that have been digitized, some of which are held in Special Collections, on the University Libraries' Digital Collections webpage. Archival materials that haven't been digitized yet will require a photoduplication order and staff-assisted scanning. Once you've selected the items from the finding aid you'd like to have scanned, you can go into your My Requests cart and set the request type to Photoduplication before submitting your requests completely. The image below shows how to set your request type to photoduplication when submitting your requests from the finding aid.

After you submit the request as photoduplication and can see the transaction in your Aeon account, we will reach out to you to arrange staff-assisted scanning. For a brief overview of our remote research services, please visit this FAQ.
