In addition to in-person access, patrons can get access to microform materials housed in Microforms and Government Information (2nd floor Paterno, University Park) two ways.

1) Microforms staff will make scans (up to 50 pages).   We've added "request a scan" links to catalog records for microforms on 2 Paterno.  For example,  https://catalog.libraries.psu.edu/catalog/13855626

The scan request form requires an Illiad account.  Community users should be referred to their local library to initiate an Interlibrary Loan request.

2) For users requiring more than 50 pages, or needing to browse, we offer remote access.  Patrons use weblabs  to access the viewing/scanning software from anywhere.  They can view microfilm, browse, fast forward, zoom in and out, magnify the image, and make a scan.   They need to schedule remote access because staff have to manually load the material on the scanners.   This can be done at any location, but only by PSU patrons - a PSU account is required to log-in to weblabs.
