Although there is not typically a limit on the number of items that may be downloaded, in many cases systematic downloading of large amounts of data from licensed databases is not allowed and could lead to your account being suspended. You will see this notice before you use any of the library databases. 

"These databases have been licensed for the non-profit educational use of Penn State faculty, staff, and students. Copyright law and individual license agreements govern their use. Systematic copying or the use of external search engines or robots to copy unreasonably large quantities of data from these products is prohibited."
