The collections of the Associate Libraries at University Park are sometimes referred to as Xternal or Affiliate Libraries and can be found in the Catalog or LionSearch. These collections are maintained by the various organizations that house them.  Access policies are established independently by those organizations and have different circulation rules, and collections are not available via Interlibrary Loan or the "I Want It" button.  Users must go to the various reading rooms to gain access to these items. University Libraries entered into agreements with these organizations to catalog their collections in the interest of making these specialized resources discoverable to the students and faculty of Penn State.
